Class Designation: Numbers only
Boat: Twin-engine inboard catamaran
Length: 38 to 40 feet (Note: 6-inch tolerance
rule does not apply. Boats that were registered with
APBA Offshore during the 2000 racing season will be
grand-fathered for competition in 2001 and beyond.)

Description: Replaces former Unlimited, Open,
USA Class 1 and Modified boats. Must be produced from
dedicated hull and deck molds. No custom fabricated
one-of-a-kind hulls.

Engines: Twin 510 CID naturally aspirated engines.
Single spec. 795 CFM King Demon 0/00 carburetors.
Spec aluminum Brodix heads and intake systems. Estimated

be allowed. All repairs to the heads must be performed
by Brodix.
Drives: Mercury/MerCruiser SSM VI dry sump
drive is the only homologated drive.

shifting Forward-Neutral-Reverse with engine running.

OUTLAW
PERFOMANCE
Class Designation: P1-, P2-, P3-, P4-, P5-,
PV-, PX- Speed Bracket Classes
Description: Formerly Local Classes. Great
for beginners. Almost any boat and engine combination
will be allowed in the Outlaw Performance Classes
1-5 as long as they meet strict safety standards and
fit into one of the speed bracket categories. Speeds
are checked periodically throughout the race by radar
and any boat exceeding the top speed of their bracket
is disqualified. To be eligible for the World Championships,
the team and its crew must have competed together
in a minimum of two APBA Offshore events.
