PERFORMANCE IS BACK AT THE 1000 ISLANDS!

Some of the most exotic offshore heavy metal was witnessed by thousands of spectators at the 2012 1000 Islands Poker Run August 10-11 in Kingston, Ontario. And nobody was disappointed.
From the turbine-savvy Aqua-Mania G3 Racing Team’s 50’ Mystic, to the several Mercury Racing-driven MTIs and Outerlimits, this power run proved that performance boating is at a fevered pitch. Even Ken Jenson’s and Ed Porier’s monstrous Nor-Techs were in full force and dazzling the crowds. But don’t let the size of these boats fool you. There were many players running boats in 26- to 38-range as well, enjoying the run with the best of them.
Hosted at Kingston’s Confederation Basin, more than 50 boats traveled to the 1000 Islands from as far away as Connecticut, New York, and various regions of Ontario and Quebec to light up the scenic waterways. An excellent run combined with Kingston’s vibrant nightlife made for a great weekend and an event to remember for years to come. A special thanks goes out to our several sponsors and of special mention, those who supported our “Run The Wave” campaign in efforts to raise proceeds for Prostate Cancer Canada.
With so much enthusiasm, we can only expect the same atmosphere at our upcoming Season Finale Poker Run hosted in Tampa Florida, October 5 – 6.
We hope to see you there!
