(CMI) has announced the grand prize winner of the CMI
Performance Experience - 2006 Poker Run Photo Contest
is Ron & Tana Sammons of Mullica Hill, NJ. As the
winners, the Sammons and their boat and crew will be
entered into the Poker Runs America 2006 Sarasota Season
Finale Poker Run to be held in Sarasota, Fla., October
6-7, 2006, where a purse of more than $10,000 in cash
and prizes is at stake. The drawing was held at CMI's
corporate headquarters on August 21.
"The CMI Performance Experience - 2006 Poker
Run Photo Contest gave us an opportunity to recognize
the many performance boating enthusiasts who support
one of the most popular on-water boating activities
- Poker Runs," said Tony Esposito, director of
marketing and sales at CMI. "We are very pleased
to be able to send Ron & Tana to the 2006 Sarasota
Season Finale as a representative for all performance
boaters as the Grand Prize winner of the contest."
The CMI Performance Experience - 2006 Poker Run Photo
Contest, held June 15 to August 15, was designed to
recognize thousands of performance boaters from all
over the United States and Canada who participate
in and support the many Poker Run events held annually.
Contest participants were required to submit photos
of his or her powerboat that is rigged to deliver
peak performance for the ultimate on-water experience,
which were showcased on CMI's web site, www.custommarine.com.
To win a daily prize package and qualify for a chance
to win the Grand prize drawing, boat owners were required
to notify CMI within 48 hours that he saw his boat
posted on the site.
According to Esposito, nearly 1000 boaters had the
opportunity to participate in the contest.
