Planning
a poker run requires a great deal of time and effort - and
manpower. Even though we've been organizing our own events
for more than 14 years, poker runs just keep getting bigger
and more activity oriented, which doesn't make things any
easier for event planners. That's one of the reasons we're
offering poker run organizers a special how-to mannual compiled
by our team of experts.
This
valuable special edition is only one of the main benefits
to event organizers who become members of the American Poker
Runs Association (APRA).
APRA was specially designed to make certain poker run events
are well-organized, fun-filled and safe for the entire family.
Yes, we do insist - rightfully so - that there be absolutely
no alcohol consumed on a run. Poker run crews must also
wear life jackets or PFDs and attend mandatory driver's
meetings (which makes special sense if you're boating in
an unknown body of water!).
Membership
in our American Poker Runs Association does entitle those
who join to receive a wide range of benefits. Call our Event
Director of Marketing, Larry Boyd, at 1-800-354-9145 for
the features and benefits program.
APRA
has been set up to keep poker runs operating smoothly without
taking away the key element of fun. Endorsed and supported
by performance boat manufacturers, our goal is simply to
promote the continuing growth of safe and responsible boating
by linking the main players - manufacturers and dealers
of high performance boats and accessories, poker run organizers
and performance boat owners.
By
working together, we can ensure the continuing and future
growth of a sport that's undeniable fun for the whole family.
