See You On The Water!

With the Poker Run Season shifting into high gear, performance boaters throughout our North America are getting ready for what promises to be an outstanding schedule for events, beginning with the Alexandria Bay Poker Run on June 24-25.

Our Poker Runs America staff is looking forward to returning to Casino Lac Leamy in Canada's beautiful Gatineau region, for the spectacular invitational High Stakes Poker Run that has become famous as the "creme de la creme" among events of this caliber. Five-star accommodations, great entertainment and fine dining are the highlights of this sensational run, held over the July 1-2 weekend. It's a cross-border celebration of power on the water just an hour's drive north of Alexandria Bay NY, that draws participants from as far away as Florida amenities, plus an invitation to the spectacular Las Vegas review. The magnificent lunch at the world-renowned Chateau Montebello - the world's oldest standing log structure, which hosts presidents, senators and other dignitaries each year - is nothing short of culinary ecstasy. With the Candian dollar hovering just below the 80-cent mark, this venue is an exceptional value for US visitors, and the famous French-Canadian hospitality is a refreshing experience.

On August 5-6 comes all-new Make A Wish Windy City Poker Run, where Poker Runs America joins Shogren Performance Marine, Mercury Marine, Livorsi Marine and the Lamborghini Club o Chicago to bring the thrill of offshore performance to northeastern Illinois. This will be the first-ever blending of two high-performance motor sports, as the "Waves and Wheels" concept features Lamborghinis on the road and offshore boats on the water. Talk about high octane excitement! That certainly qualifies Lake Michigan as a "Great" lake, and the Midwest home of performance motor sports. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Make A Wish Foundation of Chicago and Wisconsin. Contact the Poker Run Hotline (1-800-354-9145) for more information.

The highlight of our summer schedule will be the annual 1000 Islands Can-Am Poker Run, held August 12-13, 2005 in Kingston, Ontario. This event, declared number one in North America, is truly the showcase of stars - almost every boat manufacturer, engine builder and equipment supplier will be there for you and your crew to meet. This is where the manufacturers test some of their hottest models, so it's a great way to get a sneak peek at the newest and hottest boats of the year.

Whether you plan to participate in the Poker Runs or join the spectator fleet to see the most impressive boats in North America challenge the waters, you can follow the action as the new season of Performance Boat Television hits the airwaves in September. For a list of PBTV coverage and a sneak preview of the show, visit the PBTV website - www.PerformanceBoatTV.com - I'm sure you'll enjoy every minute.
