Time often seems to move as fast as a turbine-powered catamaran. It was almost ten years ago that we published our first magazine focusing entirely on professional offshore powerboat racing.

Actually, our premier issue was the official program of the first-ever Canadian stop on the APBA Offshore national circuit. Thanks to support from leading members of North America's marine industry - and pro racers - it was a hit from the word, "Go".

Since then, the "program" has evolved into a first-class publication covering professional offshore performance boat competition in North America. It is also a special annual edition of Poker Runs America magazine (which is now published ten times a year).

When I first became involved in performance boating - as a magazine publisher and event organizer - the sport of offshore was very much in its growing stages. Today, thanks to the continuing efforts of national and divisional race organizations (and thousands of dedicated volunteers) offshore races are continuing to draw more and more fans.

Thanks to continued support from the marine industry, our many readers and the top race photographers who supply us with some of the most dramatic, full-color action shots, this special annual edition of Poker Runs America has become the official "Who's Who" of Offshore Racing.

After all, we're here to help promote the true spirit of performance.
